I ended up going with this kit and adding the blower (DCBL722) to it. $400 for all these XR tools and the bigger batteries (one being a Flexvolt 9ah) seems like a win to me. I was tempted to do the hack, but I really needed the blower, so I stuck with the deal as its advertised and think it's still a solid deal.

anyone else getting "unable to process card" errors?

anyone have experience with HD suddenly rejecting orders from same name-address?
Yes, same thing is happening to me, rejects every card I use. Weird thing is it only happens when I try to buy Milwaukee products, orders go thru just fine with everything else.

for me its happening on this deal I have been trying to buy. i reported it to HD csr and they escalated a case 3 days ago but haven't heard anything yet.
ill try on something else to see if that works. first I thought its an IP ban so tried on my phone with wifi off but that didn't work either.

Temp or permanent ban for repeated placing of orders, to stop resellers.

It has happened to many people now.

Look for the part that says get this deal on the right side and pick out free tool. Both will be added to cart. Buy everything for $400 plus tax and return free tool for around 150
I'm assuming that the idea is to pick the "free" tool that costs the most, or is this not always the case? Also, In store pickup only? Delivery only? Either?

If you want the "main" item, pair with the most expensive "free" item.

Home Depot you can do this in store or online; online you have to choose both delivery or both pickup, although can be different locations.
If different locations, you just never pickup undesired tool. Will take 7 days for them to cancel normally, some hold the items for much longer though.
If same location or delivery you just return the unwanted item.
SOME people have luck being able to just cancel an individual item right after placing online order, but I've only had the option to cancel entire orders online. Seems like some have it and some don't.

Lowe's BOGO deals can also be hacked but IN-STORE ONLY. Cannot pickup in sotre, you have to checkout at register, online orders don't have separate line items for BOGO stuff.

I just did this and it worked just fine. Easiest way is to do in store pickup, but set the free item to a different store. After you pick up main kit, go in app and cancel the free item. $257+tax net cost. No awkward returns or denials.

This seems like the best XR kit deal at the moment. 15ah of batteries and 3 XR tools for $257 is amazing. I like the flexvolt 9ah because I might look to get a 60v blower if a deal on those ever pops up.
