The S90C is the 2nd most-advanced OLED TV sold in 2023. The most advanced in 2023 was the S95C == S90D, it's big brother, which was just a little bit brighter. Both of these TVs have the highest color gamut available because they use both OLED AND Quantum Dots (QD-OLED) and Samsung actually started making OLEDs ON THEIR OWN because LG wouldn't make these OLED panels for them. This is one of the brightest OLEDs offered in 2023. It should outshine all the 2023 LG and Sony models in peak brightness.
The price of $1299 would normally be a STEAL for this TV with an original MSRP of $2099..
So why has this TV been on clearance for MONTHS at this great price, and why is nobody buying it? My theory is that it's a very high-end expensive TV and in the 65" size the type of buyer for this TV is just too rich and will be buying a 75" - 100" television instead. Either that, or people just hate Tizen and don't realize how special the Samsung S90C, S95C, S90D, and S95D TVs with QD-OLED really are! The larger sizes of this 2023 TV (77 inches) have already sold out everywhere (Costco and BestBuy) at clearance prices of $1799 - $1999, I would buy one if they were still for sale! If you need a 65" TV there are none better and you can buy a Roku or FireTV stick if you can't stand the Tizen UI ...
I just saw the 65" S90C at Costco earlier today and it looked worse than a non-OLED Samsung next to it showing the same content side-by-side. I wouldn't be able to tell that it was an OLED. I don't know if they messed up the settings or the cable or what, but it looked cheap. The LG OLED 65" and 77" were very good. Maybe Costco isn't the right place to compare TV's? What's a better place to really compare different OLED TV's before you buy? Best Buy?

$1,000 tax and all for a 65" S90C would be a good deal.

Or maybe it's because the TV has terrible sound processing as Samsung is loaded with screwups who refuse to license Dolby DTS sound ...

It's a great deal, and once it's gone, its gone forever.
