I might get downvoted into oblivion for this, but I'll chime in with my opinion.

I have had poor customer service experiences with U.S. Mobile. For example, they lost my number for about 4 weeks during a simple port. The only thing that they did to make up for it was offer me $5 off for a few months. And, they kept bragging about how great their customer service was when they communicated with me. This issue was a pretty big inconvenience for me, and I was surprised at how poorly they handled it (given their supposed reputation for good CS).
I also find that they sneakily raise prices or take away features.
Additionally, their subreddit brigades anyone who raises valid complaints.
I don't trust them as a company and find that their CS cannot handle certain issues with any sense of urgency.

I am using Redpocket 200min/200M $30/360day plan on a Galaxy 6 LTE watch. It works standalone but I used a Samsung phone to set it up. Here's a previous discussion: https://slickdeals.net/f/17449506-360-day-red-pocket-prepaid-plan-200-min-talk-1000-texts-200mb-lte-month-30-free-shipping?attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3AFalse&src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

It released Monday. You have to go to the website to see it. The app doesn't show it
The website also says "coming soon" fot the standalone plan.

Even after creating an account and logging in, standalone plan shows as coming soon. Companion plan is available to activate (if someone already have their voice line with US mobile already)

Thinking about switching my kids' watch line over from t-mobile. because total wireless did not provide standalone watch line, so we left the kid's watch line behind. seems only thing is that you have to pay for full year upfront.

Lemme push back on your reasoning. You have one bad experience with US Mobile and that overwhelms the mountains of positive experiences with them that others have had? Put me in the positive side of US Mobile experience. And the seemingly frequently poor RP experiences among other users means absolutely nothing? Unless you believe both groups are lying or there's something special and lasting about your situation (possible, I suppose, but…) then I'd say you're putting a lot of weight on one experience. Furthermore, how much have you contacted RP to even rate their customer service? I mean did you compare what you have available to you on the US Mobile app as far as account data and history, ability to switch between all three major service-providers? It's impressive. Call me a fanboy if you like, but I've had experiences with a bunch of pre and postpaid providers and US Mobile is way up high, especially for the price. With that I'll concede that companies do sometimes jump the customer service shark. I just haven't seen it yet.
Sure, I can see how my reasoning might seem contradictory to you.
However, losing my number for a month caused numerous inconveniences for me. So, others' great experiences didn't make the tiniest difference to my experience.
As I stated, lots of routine interactions with RP's customer service over several years. Perhaps you find that hard to believe, but that's my experience.

I got banned from the Reddit when they were bragging about the dark Star beta and then charge $100 for it

In effect you're saying because it's "my" one experience it has more weight than others many experiences. I don't doubt that losing your number is a headache. It would make me upset too. But call it for what it is: You're angry at US Mobile and you're punishing them for treating you badly, which they certainly did. Can't say I've never used this reasoning, but I've often (almost always) found it counterproductive.
Yes, my very poor experience with a company is more important to me than other people's positive experiences. So, I use other companies that have provided me with better services. That is 100% logical.

Does this plan work on roaming abroad? Are there any additional fees?

Nothing is black and white. Someone's bad experience does not invalidate your good experience.

Most people do not have a problem. That does not mean US mobile is problem-free. Logically, you're committing a confirmation bias and a sampling bias.

Don't be butthurt for no reason. Get off your high horse and go read about Dunning-Kruger effect.
