I have the Ryobi version and use it all the time for working on shrubs and a hedge, and maintaining the rural tree line at a family property. I keep my 16" chainsaw and 10" ~12' polesaw near by too, but the hatchet is super handy.
I bought this 6" chainsaw that works with M18 batteries. So far, it's been awesome. It came with an extra bar and chain. I've cut everything from soft woods to hard knotted red oak.
I have not looked to see if the bar can be purchased separately. I believe the chain can be found readily. If I had concerns about parts availability, I'd go with the m18, but at one-third the price, I am not disappointed with the clone.
Buy the Sawzall M18. Way more useful for a wider range of jobs. Yesterday I got the tool, charger and two 5.0 batteries for $200 plus tax. Free Shipping.
