When they refund you TIV they refund tax also. They adjust TIV with phone price and recalculate tax and refund the amount. Ideally the refund will be more than TIV.

Just got back from Best Buy. Picked up the S24+ and traded in my iPhone 13 Pro Max. They processed the pickup and trade-in in the same transaction. Took about 5 mins for the trade-in process. Once it was completed, I checked my order online and the total showed up as $0.00. Pretty easy process.

Does it make sense that doing it in store results in no tax but doing it online does?? You're paying tax on the full purchase price if you handle online

Did you order online and pick up in store? If so, did they charge you tax, because I'm seeing a $64 charge for tax and I'm not sure if it will drop off or not?
