When they refund you TIV they refund tax also. They adjust TIV with phone price and recalculate tax and refund the amount. Ideally the refund will be more than TIV.

Since I was gifted an iPhone 16 Pro Max, my iPhone 13 Pro Max is sitting around.

S24+ is a great phone (not my daily driver phone but for use on a 2nd carrier for backup and to run Android apps that Apple doesn't allow like networking tools).

Got one for pickup and will trade-in at the store for immediate credit. Just have to pay the sales tax (and BB says I get $35 in rewards, so that will go towards the tax!)

What do Best buy do with the phones?

If I purchased one from some guy on Facebook marketplace place and it is locked. Or tied to his account can it be used as a trade in?

So if I buy for $500 and trade in for 799$ off then it is a win
