And yes....they still make modern retro style games. Thanks for pointing that out...want a cookie? And just curious, when did I contest that? Feel free to quote me otherwise in the great words of an old friend "Keep your baseless, factless, and made up ....opinions to yourself."
(I cannot imagine being so angry about a video game controller)
IT DOES NOT.
It has regular alps sticks so it will get stick drift. It's still very cheap for a wireless controller.
I might end up modding mine. I see some comments complaining about USB-Micro, and I would agree, but my ps4 controller is also micro so I guess this gives me a new cable to charge that with as well lmao

Honestly not sure why in 2024 the D pad would closer to your hand vs an analog stick as it is on a majority of controllers. Unless it is a controller aimed at emulation the thumb stick is going to be used 99% of the time so in my opinion should be closer to your thumb and in a location where you could naturally hold your hands symmetrically on both sides of the (otherwise) symmetrically shaped controller.
Why do we still use a controller layout that requires you to have your mirrored hands in unmirrored locations. [shutterstock.com] Personally I like the Xbox shape better but the Dual(Shock/Sense) distribution of buttons makes far more sense from anatomical standpoint.
For the purpose of symmetry, atheistics, claw gripping, and allowing the dpad to be larger without compromising the size of anything else, dpad should be on top.
Just to make sure we are picking up what the other is putting down:
ideal D pad placement (in my mind) [slickdealscdn.com]
less than ideal D pad placement (again, in my mind) [8bitdo.com]
I like the top example better and the bottom example less.

They won't work on switch or PS5 without an adapter.
