I have this. Triggers have a shorter range than an Xbox controller. There's also no vibration. Start and select are hard to press because the buttons dont stick out, they're sunk in. Not a great controller.

This controller is bottom of the barrel. It barely functions as a controller.

The four Steelseries I bought all had stick drift out of the box, Steelseries makes the absolute worst controllers! Garbage ! Avoid!

They make modern games in all these genres. 99 percent is a made up number. I didn't give an opinion I gave a fact "I don't use a thumbstick", that's not an opinion.
Still need that hug I see Wink

And yes....they still make modern retro style games. Thanks for pointing that out...want a cookie? And just curious, when did I contest that? Feel free to quote me otherwise in the great words of an old friend "Keep your baseless, factless, and made up ....opinions to yourself."

(I cannot imagine being so angry about a video game controller)

Saw a youtuber say this has hall effect sticks:
IT DOES NOT.
It has regular alps sticks so it will get stick drift. It's still very cheap for a wireless controller.
I might end up modding mine. I see some comments complaining about USB-Micro, and I would agree, but my ps4 controller is also micro so I guess this gives me a new cable to charge that with as well lmao

This controller is no bueno, I have had one for years and it sits in a bin collecting dust. The d pad is literally the worst I have used, controller feels awkward in the hands, just get an 8bitdo Ultimate for $30 or less, way better.
Ah bummer 😔 Thanks for the heads up. A solid D-Pad is pretty vital to my intended use. Just wanted an inexpensive but decent wireless controller since it's just going to be used on an old HP office mini PC with Batocera installed. I'll keep an out for a sale on the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C 😊

I had one of these, not sure if it was fixed later, but when connected to bluetooth, the lights would constantly flash. It was so annoying that I had to put masking tape on it, which did prevent me from seeing battery life

For anyone with a Steam Deck....that is the only acceptable placement Wink

Honestly not sure why in 2024 the D pad would closer to your hand vs an analog stick as it is on a majority of controllers. Unless it is a controller aimed at emulation the thumb stick is going to be used 99% of the time so in my opinion should be closer to your thumb and in a location where you could naturally hold your hands symmetrically on both sides of the (otherwise) symmetrically shaped controller.

Why do we still use a controller layout that requires you to have your mirrored hands in unmirrored locations. [shutterstock.com] Personally I like the Xbox shape better but the Dual(Shock/Sense) distribution of buttons makes far more sense from anatomical standpoint.
With that logic how do you justify putting the face buttons closer to your thumb than the right analog when most modern 3d use the right analog stick more?

For the purpose of symmetry, atheistics, claw gripping, and allowing the dpad to be larger without compromising the size of anything else, dpad should be on top.

Being my thumb is on the analog button at every moment playing a modern FPS / TPS game it seems pretty self evident. Also my other thumb is on the identically placed analog stick on the other side of the controller controlling view direction.

I agree, thus why I think the D pad should not cause the left analog to be offset vs the right analog's position. Perhaps I explained myself poorly or you misunderstood what I was attempting to say?

Just to make sure we are picking up what the other is putting down:
ideal D pad placement (in my mind) [slickdealscdn.com]
less than ideal D pad placement (again, in my mind) [8bitdo.com]

I like the top example better and the bottom example less.

The Xbox controllers will natively work with Windows, Andriod, iOS (wired or bluetooth)

They won't work on switch or PS5 without an adapter.
