In Bay Area Costco and National (and some random off brand places) are like $0.50 cheaper than any of these brands anyways.

Looks like they are trying to compete with W+ 10 cents per gallon discount.

In Arkansas WalMart gas is 20-30 cents cheaper than most other stations before the W+ 10 cents discount and W+ gives you access to Sam's and discounts at Exxon and Mobile. When traveling we find the cheapest stations are generally clustered around Walmart or Sam's (I don't have much experience with Costco)

Looks like you have to buy stuff in the gas station store to really earn points to get cash back on their gasoline. In this case I would prefer Walmart+ .

Better than nothing but just barely. I believe BP rewards gives you 5 cents off every gallon just for signing up. Most cars will take anywhere between 10-20 gallons at best, so you're talking about $0.50, maybe $1 at most over the standard rewards rate.
