Imo, the 60w bulbs are not worth getting.

They are fine if you intend to use them in a decorative lamp or some accent lighting, but they are just not bright enough to use in a ceiling fan or other primary light source.

If you're new to the hue ecosystem, just be warned that it is a very very expensive ecosystem to buy into.

100W or go home.If it's too bright you can dim it. If you're going to spend this much money, why hard limiting to 60W?

They're 800 lumen, which is the absolute minimum I would say. I have these lighting most of the rooms in my house and they work pretty well, but I probably rely on more accent lighting to get light where I want it.

I wouldn't get the 60w, they're too dim. I bought the 75w and they're much better, though I'd prefer the 100w versions but they're way too expensive IMO.

I see this comment a lot and I couldn't disagree with it more.

I own 12 of these 60w bulbs. I use three in the bedroom and they are plenty bright. I also use three outside on the porch and driveway, also plenty bright. In fact, we usually don't run them at 100% brightness because it's overbearing.

On another note, these things are $80 on Amazon right now. With 5% cash back, the ease of delivery and return, that would by the better place to buy in my opinion.

Wow, 3 WiFi lightbulbs for > $70 is incredible expensive in 2024. I buy my CYNC color lightbulbs usually for 1/3 of this.
As much as I like my hue system, it's pretty unjustifiable to keep going with them at this price when they themselves are offering a WiFi enabled bulb w/o the need for a bridge.

When you buy Hue products, you're very much buying into an ecosystem. If you want to individually manage tons of different bulbs, you can save a ton of money over Hue. Hue puts all your lighting control on one place, gives consistency across a huge variety of products, and works when your internet goes out.
Money no object, it's the best lighting system you can buy into. If you're on a budget and willing to sacrifice convenience for price, hue is not for you.

if you search Facebook Marketplace you can often find pretty good bundles of people offloading their old bulbs (bulbs last a pretty long time too).
I think I paid ~$300 for ~20 bulbs and re-did a good portion of my home. Might still seem expensive but when you compare to any type of remodel, it's actually pretty cheap and the impact is immediately noticable

I have both FEIT and Phillips Hue. Hue just has better color range and super user friendly. Worth the price over cheaper bulbs.

Hue bulbs are way overpriced. There are options out there that are cheaper, brighter, and have greater color saturation. Maybe if you're already neck deep in the ecosystem and need exactly 3 bulbs this might be a good deal, but even then I would choose something else. This video is 5 years old but still holds true https://youtu.be/wxwdEznPRW4?si=33dGqkF4EPrhQKn7

I actually have both as well and I've had intermittent connection issues with the Hue bulbs which have been driving me nuts. They just randomly disconnect once every few weeks and require a reset and re-pair. No issues with the Feit bulbs. The Hue bulbs do get a lot dimmer on their lowest setting than any other smart bulb I've tried, so that's worth considering if you plan on using as a night light.

Can't you accomplish the same with Cync and the Alexa app/devices? I thought Cync connected via Bluetooth as well.
