Is this the closest you can get to OLED quality without being OLED? I know a lot of people say not to worry about burn-in, but it still exists and I will never trust it until it reaches non-OLED levels of likelihood. That's just me.

Mini-Led will be better in a brighter room than OLED. OLED imo will still be a little better overall. Quality will be fairly close. I'm sure most people cannot even tell the difference. That being said, I have an LG C1 that has a couple thousand hours of use, no burn in. I also have an OLED monitor, couple thousand of hours of use, no burn in.

I get it, but no one's personal experience will sway me in that department. It's nice to hear that they are pretty close, though. This might be my next set. The Rtings review looks good, and from what I remember before when I was shopping for my current set, mini-LED is basically super local dimming with hundreds/thousands of zones, which should be as close to true blacks as you can get without being able to control the individual pixels like OLED.

I've read it's the closest thing to OLED. I don't have personal experience, but I've been researching for a couple of years….

I just got the 85" from Samsung for $1296.57 out the door with tax (IL) with free slim wall mount and mounting service plus $50 trade in any size tv. I also got the 2 year Samsung care added for free.

I just bought the 55" version of this TV from Costco for $949. Just got through setting it up. Great picture.

Costco sales rep talked me out of buying a more expensive OLED and getting this QLED because of reflective glare. I have a whole wall of windows (with no blinds) along side of the TV. Happy with my choice. According to him, burn-in is no longer an issue with the latest OLEDs.
