Somewhat outdated article (the 12vhpwr connector has gone through a variety of changes due to it being a fire hazard), but it goes into a fair amount of detail on the atx 3.0 standard: https://www.tomshardwar
The 12v2x6 connector on this psu only supports 450w as opposed to 600w power delivery standard on higher wattage units. The msi mag a750gl has a 5 year warranty, rather than the 10 year warranty many higher end units have. A review of this psu can be found here: https://www.eteknix.com/msi-mag-a...ly-review/
I'd consider $70 to be an okay price for a 750w atx 3.0 psu of this performance tier from a major brand if it didn't require jumping through any hoops, but I find it rather hard to justify dealing with the mail in rebate at this price. Additionally, 750w is quite low at this point, and considering how a good psu can last through multiple builds and potentially over a decade of use, I generally recommend spending a bit more for something more "future-proof". Decent 850w atx 3.0 psus can be found for ~$80-$100, and decent 1000w atx 3.0 psus can be found from ~$100-$130.

now it would barely power a mid range Video Card alone.
As for my suggestion, when it comes to components like the power supply, which is used heavily throughout a PC's lifespan and can be carried over to a new build, investing a bit more can be very worthwhile. I usually consider the manufacturer's warranty— a 10-year warranty is a strong indicator of quality.
Is the connector on the PSU the limiting factor of only 450w being delivered through it? Can I plug in a connector that delivers the 600w?
Moving on to the power delivery limits, you should only use the included cable for the 12vhpwr connector, and do not try to exceed 450w. Likewise, this psu has 3 pcie 8-pin connectors, each supporting up to 150w for a total of 450w power delivery. Gpus with a 12vhpwr connector usually come with an adapter for 8-pin to 16-pin conversion, so you can technically use the 8-pins instead of the 16-pin if you want, though I'd generally recommend avoiding adapters if possible. Either way, you won't be delivering more than 450w of pcie power with this psu, and if you'd be looking to do so you really ought to be looking at a higher wattage psu anyways.
