Read my comment again. You mentioned 14th Gen and that's what I was highlighting with respect to this laptop. It never had a 14th Gen Intel processor but Ultra 1 series right after 13th Gen.
Your comment implies like this processor is 3 years old, whereas it's not and came out earlier last year.

Actually that review is of a similar but different laptop model. It is the 14x which is 14.5 inches instead of 14" and weighs more.

This seems like a decent deal until you realize the RAM is soldered and the CPU is defective. I suppose if you trust Intel to actually fix it, then it's a good buy.

Only the desktop CPU from 13/14th gen are defective. There were no issues with the laptop CPU from these gen.

Why not just buy vivobook S 15 from walmart with $750, exact the same spec but with ultra 7 115h which is much better cpu for battery life

The 13900H is slightly faster than the 155H: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/comp...tra-7-155H

But you're right that the ASUS Vivobook S 15.6 laptop will have better battery life and bigger screen (tradeoff is it's a bit heavier). Thanks for posting about it. Now, I might consider that one instead.
