People saying just go spend $300 at Costco for a BodyGlove board on closeout, and how great of an investment it is over this $79 steal. How many times did you actually use your board? Im guessing the average person uses it a few times a year and the rest of the time it sits in the bag. This is a great deal for something that sits in the garage most of the year.

Is it an advantage with inflatable boards to be able to carry it in a bag down to the beach and inflate it there?

Get some ryobi, or Milwaukee or dewalt battery operated pump
I would avoid those unless they are high volume, the ones designed to pump up tires are high pressure and take a long time to pump up a SUP. Also likely you will need an adapter to even fit.

I actually own this exact SUP, purchased from Woot earlier this year when it was $99.
Its been great! A slightly larger SUP at over 11' long, it takes about 5 minutes to inflate with continuous pumping using the included pump. Travel bag is a nice touch and has straps to be worn as a backpack. The SUP itself works as intended, and is large enough to carry myself (a 185lbs man) with my two younger kids who are 3 and 5. The window thing seems kind of silly, but we ended up using it as kind of a storage area for lightweight things, and it gave my kids an easier area to hold onto while they dangled in the water as I paddled around. We've used it on 4 separate outings already with no issues, so have already drastically made up the cost compared to renting (locally rentals are $40 for the day).
Have not used it on rough waters but I think it would be fine. Its a very slow paddling SUP, so this is not intended for long distance use, but is the perfect SUP to take to the lake/bay/beach and float around on with your kids. At $80 I would not even think twice.

Helpful comment especially the backpack part!! 5 minutes with the hand pump is what I need for the exercise.

as noted there's a difference between a high pressure and high volume pump, but
Ryobi makes a high volume one that is fantastic for this sort of thing...

Is this for 1 person or 2 people?

I have 3 Hydro-Force SUPs, but my girlfriend and I have shared one before.
Her arms got pretty tired from paddling us both though Smilie

Seems like a SD considering renting for a day would be close to this. Comments?
Rental at the place we launch from is $20/hr - so you end up spending $30-40 per session. Of course the boards are higher quality and not inflatable.

I'm on my paddle boards 2-3x a week here in N Cal, including in the winter where a shorty wet suit works fine. Added bonus is when I visit my place in PV, Mexico I can haul down a board (rolled up) for free or $50. fee). They are easy to transport. The thing with cheap boards is after a few inflations they start to twist. GF bought two of the DAMA boards and both developed twists since they are lightweight. I have 4 boards of which 2 are Body Glove Performers, get used often every month and they have been bullet proof due to their triple layer construction. Only the high end boards use triple layer and why the BG boards are ranked highly.
