I bought Sony XM5 from them refurbished and they came really used with broken ANC functionality. Returned them right away with no issues, but based on my experience I am never buying anything used from Secondipity again. That being said, a lot of people on these threads seem to claim that they get like new units, so this is very much a lottery on what you would get from them.

I bought these from Ebay which was sold through Secondipity. I haven't used the nicer WH-1000M4 line, but I've used these on flights for the past couple years and liked them for the noise-cancelling. They also seemed pretty much new - I wouldn't have known the difference.
Not sure about working out with them because I get pretty sweaty so prefer to workout with earbuds.

i used them for the gym for about a year so far and they handle the sweat well enough even though they are not meant to be water proof.

Mine were like new and have been great. I've gotten and returned some in the past that were also like new and worked great.

I absolutely love my Shokz openrun mini, but for gym they aren't the best since you can hear the gym music and everything else with the open ear.

I've ordered several Sony refurbs from them and each one has come feeling brand new just without packaging. Their Target stuff was in bad condition but their Sony stuff has never let me down.

I haven't used these ones but I've bought 4 different Sony headphones from secondipity and all have looked basically brand new and unused. I haven't had any issues with this seller.

Secondpity is fine. These headphones for the sound quality and noise cancelling should be in this price range. There are better headphones but will cost at least twice as much.

I bought refurbished earbuds from Secondpity through ebay. They are definitely used with minor wear on the case and earbuds. This is a lottery.

No signs of wear, prefer them to my XM4s for less aggressive ANC, lighter, and ability to remove ANC options you dont like. Battery life is mad

They integrated nicely with my laptop and phone, switching seamlessly.

Incredible deal. I've spent way too much time researching headphones. I'm a reluctant audiophile that tries to not be too picky. I got the ult's off secondipity a couple weeks ago for $80. My ult's came used with accessories with the case and the box. These are reviewed to be similar, and are a crazy good deal at this price.

Sincerely appreciate your viewpoint and respect that. And sorry it happened to you. But, it does seem like your experience is rather rare. I must have purchased 5-6 things from Secondipity and I was hard pressed to believe that they were used even once. And if I get 5 things over the course of 4-5 years as new, it's more than lottery. But again, it's good to know that one needs to always be prepared for an order to go south.
