It's definitely better to let it cool down after every tire, but mine hasn't failed from never doing that.
I would never be foolish enough to run it continuously for more than a few minutes at a time. It's better for topping off tires and inflating balls than it is for completely filling tires.
I use it all the time, and I love it.

Manual reads:
"NOTICE: The inflator is not designed for continuous use. For every five minutes of inflator use, five minutes of cool down time are required. Routinely exceeding the duty cycle can reduce the life of the tool"
I have 2x of these and really like them.
only thing it lacks is a "high volume" function for inflatables, but that's more of a 2in1 device.

I have one in both of my cars. The 12v adapter is decent enough to not have to carry a battery in the car.
Lifetime warranty too. I highly recommend even at this price.

Usually I'd add something like the $150 Ridgid Multi-tool to the bundle to bring it's price down to $75, and the return the batteries. But you do you.
You never know if it's fully on or not.
Even $10 inflators from Walmart use a more secure nozzle.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this.

I also have Ryobi small one that I carry with me on bike ride.
Tip: use manual pump and not automatic to get best accurate psi measurement.
