Add extra year of warranty while checking out and use this code - BUYMORELENOVO. It will bring the laptop price to $980 ($940 + $40 for extra year of warranty). So, for $980, we get also get an additional year of warranty.

Also, by choosing PayPal as payment method, with Chase freedom as the card, will get another 5% additional cashback.

Edit: just adding one year additional warranty automatically brings $40 discount in cart making total price as $980. No coupon codes are needed!
"Only" 64GB system RAM, pass. This is a beast of a mobile workstation if you need the horsepower.
64gb of ram for less than 1k. Good enuf for my 1000 open Chrome tabs.

I bought this exact laptop last month when it was a few bucks more. Couple observations from someone who was a LONGTIME X1 Carbon / X1 Extreme user.

For starters, this thing is a beast at the price vs performance category.

Screen is amazing, keyboard is 'just as good' as my previous X1's (still own a Gen 11).

In terms of size vs an X1... It's noticeable but not overly important. This thing is still 'thin-ish.' Where I do notice a big difference is in build quality. The lid has more flex and plastic feeling but not enough to make me want to go back.

The BIGGEST benefit (for me) is the pre-wired WWAN antennas. I bought a Lenovo certified 5G card for $200 and now have 5G WWAN everywhere I go. I haven't seen a noticeable difference in battery drain because admittedly most of the time I'm on wifi or near a power outlet HOWEVER, I feel like it does have better battery performance than any X1 I've owned

I ordered yesterday and it was only 2%
It was most definitely 10% yesterday. I had it activated and was rolling through chat agents trying to get one that added more discount. Maybe you did it before whatever time they change it each day? I have been checking daily for the last couple of weeks because this laptop was already fairly discounted. I should have gone through with it while it was 10 but I got greedy I guess.

I am debating between this Lenovo VS LG gram 16" Touchscreen Intel Evo Platform Laptop - Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 155H - WQXGA (2560x1600) - Windows 11 from Costco.
https://www.costco.com/lg-gram-16...57819.html
I use a lot of Canva, PhotoShop and Dall-E (to generate pictures). LG gram at Costco has Intel Evo Platform Laptop - Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 155H has 2TB SSD.
What are your thoughts between these two? Should I wait for BlackFriday deals? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I bought the $1499 one (with OLED display & RTX 3050). I have been using 14 inch laptops for years and recently just found out the screen is not large enough for using Lightroom. I picked the lightest 16 inch laptop with all specs I need.

Is there a way to add WWAN Module to this spec?, looks like when we try to BUILD YOUR OWN the price jumps drastically.

There are issues with the Wifi adapter in Linux. See the following thread:

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Othe...399?page=1

After over a year and no fix, it seems unlikely it will ever be solved.
From what I read in the link you posted, the issue seems to be due to a Qualcomm NIC. I saw someone suggested that people buy Intel NICs for Linux. I'm new to customizing things like this. Can someone help me understand if this issue exists in this Thinkpad for Linux? If yes, is replacing the NIC to Intel an option, and possible?

So, the real question is this model -- with a 120hz screen and removable ram.....

....or the P16s (16") model with a numpad, soldered ram, and 60hz screen. But obviously bigger screen.
If you need a smaller laptop for mobility..
If you need a larger laptop for 10-key and the display..

travelers get the smaller laptop or X1 Carbons
accountants/engrs get the larger laptop

Not even close in terms of performance. You can game on the 780M and do light AI workloads. AMD is significantly more energy efficient.
We have the Intel and AMD versions. The Intel feels faster. It has a reworked cooling system and I haven't noticed it CPU throttle like the P1's but it is also noticeably heavier than the AMD version and cost more. We'll likely by more of the AMD version due to cost. It's for business use so I can't comment on the gaming.

Looks like you would have to add it yourself. They have the 4G and 5G mobile broadband cards under accessories & software. The 5G card gets marked down to $197.33 when added to the cart with the laptop, it's slightly more without the laptop in the cart..

i really wanted one of these until i tried the keyboard in person, straight out of the 90s.
that sound good to me. Heck the RAM size is getting mighty close to a macbook air SSD size, well maybe in a year or two.

The laptop is set to be delivered on October 30. Can we do price adjustment if price drops during black Friday since black Friday will be within that window?

Yes. In my attempts to get extra discounts, during multiple chat sessions they mentioned to me that they'll adjust within 30 days after purchase.

Looks like an overkill RAM even for heavy users and under par battery on this one.
