what amount of points (define as X) * 150% = 10,000?
1.5X = 10,000 --> X = 10,000/1.5 = 6,667
with 50% bonus, $100 = 6,667 points, a savings of 3,333 points (10,000 - 6,667)
3,333/10,000 = 33%, or a 33% savings
said another way:
normally $1 = 100 points, but with the 50% further $1 = 100/1.5 = 66 points
Old Price = 100 Points
New Price = 66 Points
Change = (New price - Old price) / Old Price = (66 - 100) / 100 = -33/100 = -33%

No it cannot.
Just a shame that they don't offer refurbed devices - at least not that I could see. I'm shopping for an older refurbed macbook on Amazon right now.

When trying to check out on the Ultimate Rewards, I'm met with a pop up that just says:
"We were unable to complete your order.
Return to Cart
Error Code: B28374"
I placed order and got cancelled in 24 hrs. Tried placing again the next day and now I get this error. Spoke with 4 reps and no resolution. Kept going between card member services and chases authorize Apple Store. Bunch of idiots

I got the same error…seems to be a block on their end because it doesn't matter what app or browser I use I still get the same error.
Maybe chase is going bankrupt buying iPhones…
