Costco sales are getting worse and worse. For the first time, I'm considering cancelling my membership I've had for over 15 years. Just not finding the value there I once did, and buying less and less there. This year, I won't even earn enough rewards check to pay for next year's membership - the first time that's ever happened. Sam's Club is good enough IMO and with Groupon you can get membership there as low as $15 a year, beating Costco's now $65 a year. I guess if you have a large family it still makes sense, but not so much for me any longer. They got rid of the Combo pizza and Polish Sausage in the food court, so that was a big loss too. I'm seeing many more comments on Reddit from others thinking the same thing, Costco has gone downhill since Covid.
I just bought 3 commuter pants and 3 soft shell jackets for $80. With the $30 extra savings. Not bad at all
Just hope they fit because costco sizing can be uncertain

They do deliver pizzas now finally through instacart, same day service but only delver pizza and Cesar salad from food court. And require $20 minimum orderm so unless I wanna be a food glutton or freeze 2 pizzas

YMMV obviously but the Uber, Door dash and Instacart gift card deals alone are worth the membership.

If you go to the store you usually find several items with the $xx.97 that can be almost too good to be true. Costco is known for and embraces the treasure hunt shopping experience.
The listed sales aren't going to change the price significantly, Costco's margins are lower than other retailers. Only way for price setting discounts to happen is for the manufacturer to reimburse Costco or for it to be the loss leader $1.50 hot dog (maybe some kirkland items but I doubt it)
Take a look at the stock price over the last 3 years. Costco's members overwhelmingly find value while shopping there. However, there are ~%7 of members who move on every year.
If you're not finding value at Costco you can ask for your membership fee back.
