Ehhh, Wait until Nov 11 and you can get the 55 QD6 for $239 with free extended warranty @ Costco. Don't have a membership ? The free extended warranty, the $10 and the higher up model just paid for your membership for the year.

Is it worth it for the Hisense? I've been wanting a decent 55" but I swear all the TV options are overwhelming me

Costco QD6 has FireTv os vs Google though, right?
OP might be the only alternative for equivalent(?) Google?
Personally, already have 3 FireTv devices. Maybe OP one will drop a little lower for BF. Hope so, although I need the 43".
QD6 is nominally "higher up" but is it really? Or just different OS? Sincerely asking.

Thanks for the input. I currently have a 50" Fire tv, and I really dislike the Fire OS. Any thoughts on a decent 50 or 55 TV that isnt Fire OS based? Also, I spent more for 120hz native on my 65's, is it necessary on a smaller TV?

I have a Toshiba M550 for 2 years which is a Hisense that I am fine with though I had to have service out twice. My post was not to recommend the TV or not, it was just to show that I think if one is considering , the advertised Costco deal is more bang for your buck then this deal .

I am not comparing specs. If I was seriously considering buying maybe Id research on Rtings or Reddit but I am not. To me if I wanted the tv in this deal, getting it from Costco would be a no brainer
I think you are correct about OS. Though I've seen comments in some threads about people complaining about the Google OS. Personally, I use a streaming stick with Google CCwGTV and also have an Onn 4K Pro but I am starting to like the built in Fire TV OS built into my Toshiba labeled Hisense mentioned above. Though I would not make a TV purchase decision based on Google vs Fire, if I didnt want to use it, Id just connect a streaming device. I dont know the spec differences but if I was considering a 55" low end Hisense, Id go with Costco for sure.

Don't buy a new tv cause the built in OS.. just get a device with the OS you want (Roku / Google / etc) for $20ish and just use that.. but this TV would be android based OS like the Fire TV just a bit different. You won't find a 120hz around this price, and a small tv you dont really need it but that is per person perspective

Hisense TV's are garbage. Don't buy if you intend to use external speakers, they constantly switch back to TV speakers in the middle of watching something. Mine also likes to randomly change hdmi inputs. If you berate their awful customer service enough they'll send someone out, but for me that was to only check the panel, which I already told them was fine. It's just a trash company all around, I regret having purchased their garbage. With Hisense it's true, you get what you pay for.

I've had my Hisense since February and it has never done either of those things.

I have owned several Hisense TVs.
Once is still up in the master bedroom.
No issues.

Same as Costco QD6 (likely equivalent). I chose the Costco one for the included 3-year warranty.
