Trying to decide between this one and the 50in Hisense for $138 at Walmart.

Any input here?

any reason why these qleds are dropping sub $300 all of a sudden? i remember when they were hot shit and the picture looked so good.

hardware outdated or do they not last very long?

edit: also repped even tho i'm not sure how good of a deal this is lol. seems good to me considering how much these cost even a year ago.

Been looking at the same. Crazily enough it being Google TV instead of Roku might be enough for me. Even tho I'll end up attaching a streaming box probably. Also tempted to jump up to 65. But for for $120 more it seems less slick

I'm curious myself. QLEDs for so cheap and Hisense is usually reputable.

Other sizes are on sale as well but the 55 seems like the best deal.

Costco has the QD6 for almost the same price. It is a Fire TV app though, not a Google TV app. Other than that not sure if there any other noticeable differences.

But it allows for Costco Direct discount bundle. I needed two so got the 65" and 55" for $490 shipped. Not including taxes.

Obviously I would not have checked if I did not see this sale so thank you for posting.

Is fire TV app that much better than googles? Or is it just an ecosystem thing?

Either would work for what I use them for to add basic apps. But for someone that uses Kodi on Fire TV or has other specific needs of Google TV it might matter hence I included that.

This is the tv you want if this is the max budget. I own this one and the R6 that's $138, it's a "decent" tv at best, and is very bright so you'll need a dark room. This one is more of a better picture all around. If your budget was $500, go for the U7 on sale, it's a totally different experience and the best "cheap" tv for video games. Your best bet is to find the model # on both tvs and compare them on rtings.com as they go all in on testing.

Also Costco QD6 3 year warranty vs 1 year warranty on this one.

IMO $10 is worth some peace of mind given that longer-term reliability seems somewhat of a gamble with cheap TVs.

Ehhh if you are going to spend $500 I might go for TCL QM7

I also think its between the R6 for $138 or the QD6 at Costco. No benefit in buying this from Best Buy. Walmart doesnt give you warranty either so you'd be buying that one solely on price. But between QD5 at BB and QD6 at Costco its a no brainer. Unless you dont have a membership but then you should try to get a trial or something

Does Hisense require you to give all your info and register an account to use the tv? (Like Vizio does)
