I would buy it from Amazon or Walmart if it was me. NewEgg has been plagued with slow shipping for several months now. They'll advertise free 2 day shipping on products, but dont ship them out until 5 days later. They're turning more and more into CDW.

Other than that, decent general task/business laptop for the price, though their Aspire line seems to be more delicate than their Nitro line.

I would buy it from Amazon or Walmart if it was me. NewEgg has been plagued with slow shipping for several months now. They'll advertise free 2 day shipping on products, but dont ship them out until 5 days later. They're turning more and more into CDW.

Other than that, decent general task/business laptop for the price, though their Aspire line seems to be more delicate than their Nitro line.

Depends if your state has brought in a internet sales tax. It doesnt look like there's many states that dont any more. There are large loop holes for 3rd party sellers using Newegg, Amazon, etc for their logistics, but those are usually sellers that reside outside of the U.S.

One of the reviews on Amazon stating that it doesn't have backlit keyboard:
"NO BACKLIT KEYBOARD
Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2024
The description claims it has a backlit keyboard but it definitely does not!!"

Based on the Newegg's description on this laptop and its variants, I am guessing the i5-12450H 8GB/512GB | $389.99 variant does not have the backlite keyboard, but the other variants (i5-1335U 16GB/512GB | $479.99 and i7-1355U 16GB/512GB | $549.99) have the backlite keyboard.

I bought the i5-12450H 8GB/512GB from Amazon. I can confirm it has Thunderbolt and backlit keyboard.

Sorry guys. I just bought the 12450H version. It does have backlite keyboard…. But not a very fancy backlite keyboard.
