What makes this particular heater have an MSRP of $70? Specs seem to indicate your run of the mill 1500-watt space heater that are usually way cheaper than that.

I used to think the same way but got the Vornado from Costco on sale, heats the whole room comfortably vs a hot burning cloud in front of the space heater.

That being said I do wonder how this compares to the Costco model.

I've got a Vornado AVH10 and a Vornado Velocity 5, and the AVH10 is way better - quieter and warms the room better. If this Velocity 3 is anything like the 5, I'd be inclined to pass even on sale.

Yeah, something to understand about Vornado heaters is that they're intended to heat whole rooms, not the immediate space around one person. Put it in one corner of the room, point it toward the opposite corner, and let it circulate. If you're looking for something to put right next to your chair and have it blow directly on you, you might be disappointed.

Generally a quieter fan that distributes the air better. 1500w is 1500w in terms of heat generation.

They used to have a great 5yr full replacement warranty. I think they still do
