I purchased the one with the fan for $80 a couple months ago. This headset has made VR a night and day difference...10x improvement over the standard strap, and it actually makes me want to play things. Having this battery + the one on the headset, it has lasted longer than I can stand there and play for.

I have this one and I just have to be careful taking it off because I have curly hair and the side hinge tends to rip out my hairs if I take it off to quickly lol. Besides that, I love this thing. I saw that it was highly recommended and I bought it right along with the headset last year so I never even bothered with the original strap.

The fan in the S3 Pro is toggle-able so you don't always have to have it running. I just moved from this one to the S3 pro and I think it is slightly more comfortable, but if you just want to jump in I don't think you can go wrong with this model for this price, it's still fantastic and leagues better than the OEM strap
