These are solid lights. I bought one in 2022 for about 4.00 more than this price. I also have the LT1 and LT1 mini. Its a higher end light. Good color options and solidly built. With that said, if you are just looking for generic power outage light, I'm sure you could find a ton more options at a lower price.

Personally I don't have this item, but every Sofirn flashlight that I have is good quality not a cheap knockoff.

I'm not much of a camper anymore. I'm getting up there in my years, but I think based on the Amazon reviews that this might make a good light in case of power outages. I might have to pick one of these up. Anyone that has one have an opinion?

yep, I've got a few of those alternative cheaper options but none of them are really ideal in some way or other. I've got battery operated lanterns in the trunk of my car that I don't think I've ever taken out of their boxes other than to examine them and make sure the switches worked etc.... but this lantern has the color temperature and high(er) end battery that I think will actually be useful in a real-world situation. Thanks for the heads-up though. Appreciate it.

I bought this one as a gift for for my Dad, and like pretty much every Sofirn buy, it's a high quality item.

Never had a bad experience dealing with Sofirn. The bigger lantern with 4 batteries might be better for emergencies where you need the extra juice.

I bought one of these a few years back for camping and just purchased a second now. There was a multi day power outage at a remote cabin I was staying at recently and this light worked great. Hung it from the ceiling fan light and it lit up the room as if the normal light was turned on. I didn't really track it but at almost full brightness it lasted several hours before needing to be recharged.

sofirn makes excellent lights, they are not knockoffs, they are ones other manufacturers knock off.

all of their lights meet or exceed their lumen ratings too. you can't go wrong with a sofirn

I've got a EDC flashlight of theirs that I really like. It's tiny but it throws a LOT of light and it's built to withstand WWIII. I think I also bought one of their strap-on headlights. That one uses alkaline batteries iirc so it's not the one I pick out of the pile I've accumulated. Still good quality though. My go-to headlamp is actually the cheapest one I got. It's an Eveready I got on sale a few years ago. I liked it so much I bought 2 LOL....

Just saying your favorite go-to light is an Eveready doesn't tell much w/o a model or a link.

These make great lanterns for use in a power failure situation. Works better than a traditional flashlight for lighting a room and safer than a candle. We put it to good use during Helene. There are cheaper options, but Sofirn makes a great quality product. I'm tempted to pick one up at this price, but since I already have one I'll hold until Black Friday deals.

Anyone have any usage with this lantern from Sofirn? I have many of the Sofirn flashlights and have been nothing but pleased with them so I assume this will be the same but think this could be a really useful camping light depending on the real world runtime at 50-75% brightness.

I purchased this direct from Sofirn for a bit less than this over the summer

Haven't used it much. For me I wanted to use it for outdoor dining but it's not ideal for that since the light starts at a low point (i.e. it won't provide good illumination over say dishes on a table).

I think some people that are sensitive to "PWM" don't like it but I am not familiar with that.

Also note that althogh it is USB C charging it is a max of 5v (which is typical what you see when devices come with a USB A to USB C cable)

Do these have replaceable batteries? Either 18650's or something similarly easy to purchase?

I'm thinking of getting one to pair with my m18 tire air compressor.
