Why are the G4 so much better than the C4? Seems like a big jump.
Ironically there used to not be nearly as much difference between the two and the C series was (and continues to be) the best value. However, with the G3 forward, you have the new MLA Panel that is noticeably brighter than the one on the C3/4 to the point where it regularly hits official HDR levels of brightness which is 1000 nits or more. It is completely flat on the back (no bottom bulge) and it comes with a flush mount for the wall. Lastly, and the reason that made me pull the trigger, is in addition to the 1 year manufacturer warranty, it comes with a 5 year panel warranty from LG that covers burn in. I save at least $300+ buy getting mine on Greentoe where I didn't have to pay tax and didn't feel the need to pay $150-$200 for a warranty.

What this guy said.
I changed my mind from a C3/C4 after I realized the G4 was future-proofing myself much more. There's still no telling what CES 2025 will showcase for OLED, but I personally don't see much that they could improve on with the G5 model (for my uses at least, primarily gaming). The big thing I could see coming is implementing MLA into the C series, but it still may be too early for that. I also don't see them coming out with an MLA-QD OLED display either, but I could be wrong.
I got an open-box G4 65" from BB for $1690+tax. What was your accepted Greentoe offer? I put in a bid on GT for $1650 just for kicks and will return my BB open box if I get my offer accepted.

In your opinion what premium would you pay for a 65" G3 over the C4? Right now, the best price for a 65" C4 is $1299 w/ 5yr warranty (includes burn-in) at Video Only.
Thanks.

Yup, six months ago. It's been sold out lately though for the 65" unfortunately. I just looked at the 65" G4 though and you can put a bid in for $2050 and it should be accepted. Won't be surprised to see the G3 in the $1600 range and the G4 in the $1800 range by BF
