Seems like a great deal, especially since it's through the Official Meta Store. On the seller feedback most people report refurbished units seeming completely new. Normally only has a 1 year warranty in the states, so it's a great bonus having 2 year warranty instead (US Residents only, through Allstate).
For those that were considering the Quest 3S (for the lower price), this can be a great alternative, if you want the better pancake lenses, higher resolution screen, better fov, and a headphone jack for just 80$US more instead of the usual 200$US.
The 128GB version is the discontinued version of the Quest 3, which is why the price is significantly reduced. The only difference is that the 512GB will become the standard 500$US version, with no other differences. In essence you're paying 120$US for just extra space, that a lot of people never use, especially if you mainly use it for PCVR.

People are saying mixed things, with some saying they got the free Batman Arkham game ($40 value) when activating a refurb headset, others saying they didn't get it, so YMMV.
I originally bought the 128GB model at launch - I found 128GB to be 'good enough' for storage for that first year, with about ~45 apps/games installed. Most of the games were in that 2-4GB range, the only one I couldn't fit with the rest was Asgards Wrath.
In 2024, bigger games are becoming much more common, stuff like Batman takes up around 20GB, Asgards Wrath 2 looks to be around 32GB, so just keep these sizes in mind if you plan to play 'bigger' games.
PCVR doesn't really take up any space since stuff is streamed, so playing Half Life Alyx, for example, just uses space on your computer.
I swapped out my 128GB for a 512GB last month and even with the games below installed, I have like 300-350GB free:
Beat Saber, Avicii, Ghostbusters, Starwave, Batman Arkham, DeoVR, Exit Condition, Windlands, Facebook/Instagram/Browser, Bulletstorm VR, System Critical 2, Space Channel 5, Just Dance VR, First Encounters, Kizuna AI, Match Point Tennis, Laser Limbo, Pistol Whip, Smash Drums, Operation Serpens, Crazy kung fu, Sky Climb, Stilt, Max Mustard, Death Horizon Reloaded, Sushi Ben, Synth Riders, Zombieland, Bonelab, Unplugged air guitar, Tetris Effect, Propagation Hotel, Tiger Blade, Oh Shape, First Hand, Cosmic Flow, Dead Second, Killer Frequency, TRIPP, Samba De Amigo, Swarm, Swarm 2, Powerbeats, Underdogs, Stride Fates, EchoVR, Audica, Les Mills, Asgards Wrath 2, Ragnarock, Lied Beneath, Thumper, Runner, Liminal, Supernatural, Audio Trip, Venta X, Space Salvage, Superhot, TrackCraft demo, Ark and Ade, Accounting+, Remote Desktop, Skybox, Rez..
This is more to say that you probably don't NEED the 512GB model to enjoy the quest. Where size will be taken up is if you install the bigger games (Batman, Asgards Wrath, whatever else comes up) which are ~20-35GB each.. or if you load it with VR Video which can be large in size.
For the larger games, you can always re-download them later on. If you don't plan to use those, the 128GB should be plenty for most.
I picked up the 128GB model on clearance at my local Wal-Mart last night for $300. They have a locked clearance cabinet in the electronics section. I've found some good deals in there. Not sure if I'll keep it, but that deal was just too good to pass up. Haven't opened it yet.

Does anyone know if you get Batman: Arkham Shadows with a Refurb purchase from Meta's Ebay Store?
I haven't seen any sell for a "refurbished" Quest 3 offering the newly released Batman game. They seemed to mainly be bundling the new Batman game with the new Quest 3s or a new Quest 3.

They don't offer it, but some people are getting it when turning on their refurbished quests. It seems to be a case of whether or not the quest was previously activated or not, before being refurbished.

Just swapped my 3s for this (best buy thou. With best buy credit card for cash back and used like $70 I had in rewards at Best buy. Also they have it everywhere refurbed online at this price. Amazon, target, Walmart, the meta website shows it too I believe)
For me I'm getting motion sick but I think I'll get my VR legs. However the 3s ipd adjustment didn't seem to match my eyes. The 3 lets you fine tune it more. The 3s also has the fresnal lenses or whatever and apparently the issue I was having with it is because of the lenses. The "sweet spot" for your eyes is small. If the headset moves on your head it's super easy to lose that sweet spot and it's blur city. I played with that forever trying to find the best positioning and comfort but that combined with the lower resolution and what seems to be a mismatch to the distance between my eyes (assumption. I dont know my actual ipd) I'm not sure.. this is all new to me. But specifically text was just too annoying. Motion sickness aside the meta 3 pancake lenses have a larger sweet spot for your eyes, a higher resolution, and the fine tuning of the ipd I believe will immediately alleviate my biggest gripes. Specifically watching comparison videos the blurry text is much improved. I have to wait until like Thursday for shipping to test out the meta 3 but if anyone is having trouble deciding on getting this refurbished 128 meta 3 vs the new meta 3s I think you should spend the extra money on the 3. I don't know or think you need 512gb especially if you are going to use pcvr but if you can't get the 128 refurb.. then maybe go with the 3s. To me the improved clarity is worth it and this price compared to the $500 they want for the 512... While the 3s is already $300... The Batman game and meta subscription thing may be worth it to you though. I ignored that as a factor. Honestly I already redeemed the game with the 3s headset. I wonder if I'll get to keep it even though I exchanged the headset for the refurbished one?
2 year warranty is better no? Still waiting on that Verizon customer to hook it up lol
Considering that I get pretty motion sick after using it for 30 minutes or so, the 90 day return window is pretty nice. Definitely considering returning it.

I know, for Verizon customers only but it gives you insight on what approx price it can be had for. I'd just wait till BF
