I bought this blender in 2018 for $85 and it has been great ever since. Replaced our rarely used mixer too.
Plenty of power and has lasted very well.
$15 price increase 6 years later seems super reasonable.
These are garbage. My wife and I have a smoothie 5-6 mornings per week. We went through 3 of these over the course of just over 2 years. 1 pitcher broke, 1 motor broke, 1 lid broke. The warranty is not very good, I think 1 year. We went with a Vitamix which cost 4x as much but has a 7 year warranty.
Also, when comparing, don't forget about the shredding/slicing disks that the food processor on this unit does not have (other versions and the Costco one have).

I think you might have gotten a dud. Mine has been flawless for the last 8 years. Though it's started to get louder lately
I bought one of these back in 2017 and its so loud it sounds like someone drilling through the floor when using in the kitchen from the basement. It does work well but extremely loud. Anyone have this newer model have any input on noise?

1 dud I would understand, not 3. Even looking at it from an engineering perspective, there are so many unnecessary and unnecessarily fragile points of failure. It's hard not to believe its meant to fail. Especially when you can buy one new for $100 and the pitcher is $60, or the lid is $40.
We're on our 3rd set, only because the bearings in the smoothie blade kept going bad (which in turn would eventually kill the rubber drive gear). All bought at costco and both times exchanged no questions asked. The most recent one , it looks like they updated the seals on the smoothie blade. Hopefully this one lasts because aside from that, ours has been rock solid.
