Problem with the 8ft is they charge $30 for shipping. The 6ft ships for free

If anyone is on the fence on getting the 6 or 8, I would lean to getting the 8 footer. Esp if you are needing to reach in the 8 to 10 feet high range.

I would say a 6 foot is good up to 8 feet of reaching height.

Im 280 and carry 100 lbs up my 6ft 250lb ladder all the time, its solid, dont sue me if you break something lol its works for me.

Same here. The free shipping is so slick if available, picking this up is a PITA without a truck. The 8' one is the ladder I need, I'd buy the 6' just to get the free shipping and a $20 6' ladder Smilie

Should be fine. It's probably not going to break unless the ladder is compromised. Usually there's a fair amount of buffer redundancy. Since this is fiberglass, don't store it in reach of sunlight and it should last you.
