Figure out what your budget is and what your uses or games you want to play. Then, you'll know where to start. If money isn't an issue, it becomes much easier to chose what you need.

The most important parts you need to get started is, a motherboard, cpu, cpu cooler, cpu thermal paste, power supply unit, ram module sticks, additional pc fans, pc case and a video card.

Try pcpartpicker .com for the listed parts to see what you need.

Gf wanted a gaming PC. Paid full retail for the white version. Worth every penny. First computer build and didn't run into a single issue.

Any links or pointers if I want to build my first pc. Without fancy graphics card, how much will a decent build cost me. I know many variables but just a ballpark

Yeah it's fine just check pcpartpicker. You can get something good for a bit cheaper depending on your wants/needs. You can filter for various things (tower size, number of bays, etc etc) and it will check for compatibility with the other parts as well.

This is a nice case by a good company. Easy to build in if you are inexperienced because it's dual chamber. Get a case that you like to look at. I consider it furniture/art, which this one is. But really, most current cases have good airflow so get what appeals to you. As long as you stick to mid range type parts you'll be fine. All the crazy stuff about needing i9 or 9000 series cpu and highest end gpu is just nuts. 99.9% of people don't need that for anything they do. I build lots of systems so have some experience. This case is great at a great price. Thanks op!!

Not to dissuade you but you might want to look at prebuilt/refurbished machines if you haven't already worked with PC hardware. It gives you a solid foundation and you can still upgrade things like memory, storage, and a GPU if you get a full-size (micro-atx). It's a good way to get comfortable before you build from scratch.

Building your own pc is a great learning experience. Just a little research. It's a labor of love, interest, and learning. I always say go for it.

Just built in a H5 flow RGB 2024 model, liking NZXT so far coming from a Fractal Design case. Would have bought this one if I had the space for its dimensions.

Good basic guide to GPU for pc building and really any modern 6 or 8 core cpu will do fine (even the newer i3's are ok) https://www.logicalincrements.com...comparison

There are many resources online now like PC Part Picker, Microcenter has a PC builder on their website that can help you build one out, will help you indicate what pieces you may be forgetting.

There are PC youtube channels, Paul's Hardware has some useful guides and builds for perspective budgets to also help.
There's discords available (Discord is a voice/channel application/program or web based), that helpful people can offer guidance.

As Senor Pantalones mentioned a refurb/prebuilt may be an option, if you have a Microcenter nearby a sales associate there can help guide you (their job), they also have an inhouse brand called Powerspec that are pretty good builds if the idea is still do daunting to pursue (their gaming PC's are off the shelf components so there can be a good upgrade path).

Last option is look in your own friend group there may be someone who you already know or an acquaintance of someone who could offer some guidance.
