So you bought stuff from Mountain Hardwear before Columbia bought them in 2003? Wow! Tell us more about your history with high quality outdoor clothing and Mountain Hardwear gear almost 22 years ago!

Wait, so you're not gonba tell us more about 20 year old gear...?

Well if you decide to, please be sure to leave out any comparable alternatives or useful experience relevant to products in this post.

From my experience as a non-Columbia employee, MH is generally worth a 70% price tag

It's not MH's fault, it's slickdeals' tracking links that the browser is blocking.
Use this link: https://www.mountainhardwear.com/c/web-specials/ (you have to copy and paste because slickdeals imposes the broken tracker! sheesh!)

I got that scrambler last time around, It is really much more climbing purpose built than I'd prefer. Idk that is take it out day hiking as I had initially intended it for.

I think that I recall seeing there's an updated version that has some tweaked supports. They've been offloading this at massive discounts occasionally for well over a year now.

Thanks for this. I bought the UL20 a few years ago and it's an amazing day hike bag. My girlfriend always wants to use it, so now she's got her own.

This website won't let me in because I have some basic tracker blocking. Guess they don't want my money.

I mean, that's just Slickdeals. I'm extremely surprised you haven't run into that prior already.

I've got a rule that I only buy one new piece of gear per trip, otherwise I'd pick up a Phantom. I've gotten to the point in life where I'm willing to pay for ounces on backpacking gear as long as it's not too crazy. I live in Colorado, so backpacking is cheap and easy. If I drop $200-400 on gear each year, it's still not a very expensive hobby.

Nah. This is one of those "hold and click" checks in front of their sites, not the SD affiliate link processing. I pass the human test but it just drops me back on the same page.
