I've had a Simplisafe system for 3 years and have had almost no false triggers. It's also saved me twice with their optional water-leak sensors. I recommend monitored service after having a break-in at 4am, when simple phone push notifications were not enough... but when unmonitored, it's still helpful for know when someone is lurking, quickly. Comes with 30 days monitored to try it out.
