If you are looking to get one. Get the 5/8 size. I have 1/2 size and its a substantial difference from my other hoses.

Looks like a lot of possibilities of leaks and kinks like every other plastic hose real except this one is expensive. Bought an Eley paid once and only cried once…. Solid as rock. Not for everyone but worth it if you use your hose regularly like us.

Why comment on the post if you've never used this or saw reviews for it. There are lots of reasons why people might want a retractable hose. This is one of the better ones.

Have had this before and it didn't even lasted 3 days, the hose guide/gear mechanism was made of plastic and snapped off....Not sure if I got a lemon but has to returned it.

I bought 5 of these and ended up returning all 5. They were a PITA to get reeled in. They would go in on about 3 or 4 feet and stop. You would literally have to repeat this several times before it would finally decide to roll up the rest of the way.

Does Eley make retractable reels? Haven't found on their site https://www.eleyhosereels.com
