Way too expensive for an inverter without batteries. Better off with a deal like this...
https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/17848104

the ryobi will need 4 of the 40v 6ah batteries to be equal to the generator i posted. so add 800 to its price tag! thumbs down from people who hate the truth!

the unit posted is also 2200 watt continuous and 2600 surge!

With 4 6aH batteries, this should be able to power a full size fridge for at least 6-8 hours. That was my primary reason for getting one, in case of power outages. I know it's no where close to a gas generator, but I'm already invested heavily in the Ryobi ecosystem. I've also used it for camping trips for anything needed at the site, works really well for filling air mattresses, charging devices, etc.

It's 1800 Watts, depending on what batteries you have, you get a decent amount of time. A couple of crockpots for a tailgate party, a minifridge, a plug in electric weed wacker at the back of your property. Lot's of uses for a portable power supply with this kind of output

I got this from DTO for about $50 less, but still a decent deal. LOVE having mine, as it easily uses the 6ah and 5ah 40v batteries I have.

Day to day use question for you, it charges up like a battery pack (via its 40 V chargin ports) then when you unplugg it it becomes like a mini generator correct?
If the above is correct What can you realistically do with this device when you use it? I am trying to scope out the output on this.
Thank you

Yes it's an inverter (sine wave) generator. I have it and used to power an induction plate (~1800 W), works well.

Good thing you can swap used battery for a full one while generator running (however I wouldn't recommend doing it while running a full load...). I tried it with 7.5, 6 and 4 Ah batteries, also with a mix, and just two batteries, works fine.

It also works as a sequential charger for the batteries (very slow...).

That has zero compatibility with the 40v Ryobi batteries that I already own.

It also replaces 4 of your 40v 6ah batteries for a measly 100 bucks more!

I have tons of ryobi batteries too , and wouldn't bother with this. the ryobi are also lithium ion, not lifepo4 like the one i posted. not a good deal.

When you deplete the charge in that $600 power box, how do you swap in a fully charged spare?

All 40v batteries have failed within 2 years. Many replaced under warranty and then replacement fails.

I have 6 12ah 40v batteries that I got paid to acquire by buying and selling multiple 80v mowers. Knowing that those were better than free; can I buy the ryobi power station? LOL

Quote from skeppley :
So now your gonna need more 40v 6ah batteries at 200 a piece to compete with a 499 unit! Lol. So now u have six 40v 6ah batteries at 1200 dollars and a generator at 370 dollars! Yeah , you are far from slick! That's a great deal 🤣...hahahaha
eventually they will both deplete their batteries, what are ya gonna do, have 30 extra batteries on hand?
