I absolutely love Hisense. I don't believe there is any other brand that offers the same value, and affordability. I've been running their TV's for almost 10 years now. I personally own last year's 85 inch U7 model.

Pros:
Build quality. It's a heavy panel, at just a little over 100 lbs. The frame is metal and the panel is glass. This results in an amazing color vibrancy.
I would suggest a quality wall mount. Please make sure to hit a stud on the mount.
Value. You wouldn't find another panel that has the refresh rate, color, or size, for the money.
Subjectively, I love the color, it's so vibrant. Go into a store to check it out.

Cons:
Size: It's very large. If your room doesn't have enough wall space or depth to view the screen, it will be overwhelming to view or not as enjoyable for a viewing experience.
Hisense software with HDR. If you want amazing 4k quality content, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Netflix, please, use a Fire stick 4k, Roku, or Apple TV. Hisense does this weird thing where it will auto apply HDR and it will be too dark. If you are playing from another source other than the Smart TV you can work around this auto HDR.

Other than that, enjoy! Don't get stuck on branding. Do the other companies like LG, Samsung, and Sony make better panels? Of course. But, can those major brands make something as affordable and offer the same competing value? Not a chance.

Most TV "deals" related to BF are either special "door buster" models, which are mostly low end designs with maybe one or two bells/whistles to differentiate it from their usual base models, or it's clearance on even older models. This is a solid deal on a major, mid-tier brand (with aspirations). It's not a U8 or UX model, but it's solid for the price.

What is the purpose of this post? Only buy a Sony? You think Sony's don't have problems? Go ask BRAVIA 9 buyers how it's working out so far. There is no comparable Sony in this segment. And there are plenty of great TV deals leading up to Black Friday from all manufacturers. Choice is good.

If you are looking for Black Friday TV deals then you obviously don't know much about TVs or care about specs. If you just want "big" then do that. I'll stick with my Sony, you pay more for the brand name, I get it, but I don't want to assume I'll replace the TV in 3-4 years out of necessity.

I have a premium Sony OLED. Never again buying Sony. Great picture quality, terrible reliability. Complete tv failures within 2-3 years of ownership.

Reading this as I'm about ready to rip my 2020 model Sony off the wall and chunk it out in the yard. I've hated this TV sinde day one. What a POS.

I too have a horrible experience with Sony Bravia. I have had two failed 65" OLED A80K and A80L. Won't buy again. I love OLED, but this is tempting.

The Sony A95L is the best OLED on the market.

I'll agree that more budget friendly TV brands offer better value, but putting a Lamborghini next to a FORD and saying they're the same is farfetched...

I love Hisense and have two of their top of the line TVs. This is a mid-tear TV in their lineup with so-so specs on RTings. I would get one of their top TVs.

That has recently become true again !!!
Sony had been lagging behind.... 2022~2023 the Hisense U8K & U8 outperformed anything Sony had....
For a long time the "Sony Tax" was minimal but not worth it but with the Bravia 8 & 9 things are looking up.
