I'll give it a shot...

A long time a go, your Maglite came with a simple on-off switch.

Nowadays, this slew of enthusiast lights from Wurkkos, Sofirn, Convoy etc have electronics behind that button which do much more than simple on-offs. Let's call them UI (User Interface).

One can click, double-click, quintuple-click, long-click, click-and-hold, quadruple-click-and-hold, click 7 times, wait for the blink, then 10 times to set a threshold... (none of this I made up, well maybe the last one). Plus, a second set of actions depending on whether the light is off or on!

There is some standardization where, for example, a double-click usually invokes the Max/Boost setting, or a long-click turns on the Moonlight mode. The problem is if you have 14 different flashlights with different implementations of what say a triple-click does, it gets a bit annoying. I do realize that this isn't an issue for those "normal folks" who only have a single or maybe two lights in their drawer.

These differences exist not just between the manufacturers, but even between flashlights of the same maker. I am sure they have their reasons why they implement different "groups" in one flashlight, the next one auto-locks, and a third one switches between ramping and smooth light color with the same action, but as a user... well. Annoying.

OK, here is where we get to a more standardized interface => Anduril 2.0.

As sure as we have two parties, there are lovers and haters, and a few who don't give a hoot about their flashlight UI. Some say Anduril has a steep learning curve, some are frustrated because they randomly click and it still doesn't do what they want, etc.

My thoughts though are that IF you are a flashlight enthusiast (and there is hope even for a noob) and end up with more and more flashlights because each new one is a little more efficient or brighter or has a higher CRI, how nice it would be if each of them did the same things when clicking the same actions?

Anduril STILL allows you to click to turn it on and to click again to turn it off, so it's not like you HAVE to study the flowchart. Plus you can switch it to Simple (I think they used to call it Muggle) mode if it is difficult to control your clicking. And sure, it has options like Candle or Sunset mode that you might never use. But... someone might, and isn't it better to have an option for something you might (not) use one day, than having none and thinking how nice it would be...

So, here is where I will wrap up with this: If you have a flashlight or lantern with the Anduril 2 UI, you can learn a few of the basics and get your flashlight to do exactly what you want. For example, personally I find the triple-click to show the voltage of the battery to be immensely helpful, use it all the time, and miss it dearly from any flashlight that does not offer it. Someone else might prefer a green or orange glowing button, but I like to know if the battery is at 4.1V or 3.6V. Or click-hold to reliably reduce the current brightness. Etc.

Picked up one of these a while ago. Great light although for pocket carry I tend to reach for my ts22 more often. The finish work on the light is impressive more so than others in this price range.

This. Had issues with Aliexpress delivering a package to wrong address, refused to refund since it was "delivered". PayPal refunded immediately as soon as I reported it. Easier than cc dispute by miles.

Yeah, that's why I always use PayPal whenever it's possible.

Yeah, the ts22. Is there a reason not to get that? It's a great wall of light.

You could always sign up with privacy.com, and use it to create a virtual credit card with a set limit. It's a useful alternative to providing your normal credit card info.

Though I've bought stuff from Wurkkos.com, and never had any issues, for what it's worth. But that was with PayPal.
