I always feel like you never get enough rice or chow mein sides with the family meal. The ratio is all off.

If only they pack it up to the brim like the photo shows. My local panda is usually 80% full only
Mine is worse than that. Sometimes half full and they make you wait forever. I waited 30 minutes once for the stupid vegetables. Theyve really gone down hill.

This! I came home, opened the packages, and thought why is there only half of the food in boxes? Maybe it fell out into the bag. Nope! Bag was dry and nothing outside. They kept doing that to me until I realized it's bc they only fill half so I stopped eating there lol

you can see the ingredient is fresh from the open fridge, and a open kitchen cooking them.

That's unfortunate. The one I go to is like other Chinese take outs. They pack it until they can barely lock the paper lids.

It makes you feel like you are getting good value. Like the extra fries at the bottom of five guys. Unfortunately my local one is cheap

Maybe they will get sued like Subway, that the photo doesn't match what you get. lol

Its pretty obvious tho.
How would you close those takeout boxes?
People need to process a marketing photo the correct way, and taper expectations.

The bigger plate is three pints and two pints.
The family deal is three quarts and two quarts.
So not really a deal.

2 pints = 1 quart
The Family Deal then = 6 pints and 4 pints

That equals 2 Bigger Plates. How much is one Bigger Plate in your area? If not >$15, then this isn't a deal for $30 UNLESS they don't over pack those Bigger Plate sections and do overpack the quarts for this Family deal.

Or you could check the containers before you leave. You shouldn't have to do that, but we are talking about minimum wage earners and folks that can be in a hurry and not pay attention to what they are doing. As a rule, I check things that weren't packed in front of me, including the bag of food from the drive thru just to make sure they gave me what I ordered and paid for.
