I purchased an aurora r7 i7 8700k/GTX1080 like 6 years ago during the video card shortage for like $1200. Still running strong today. Not a single issue with overheating or with the liquid cooled CPU. Upgraded to a RTX3070 and it runs all major games with no issues. As someone who use to solely build their own custom PCs I've been more than happy with the price and quality of this Alienware

For a grand this one is a steal imo

Is a 500w PSU sufficient for the 4k series GPU?

For the 4060ti, yes - but it's the limit for 500w this combo has to be running mid-400w range

Hmmm, this is a good fit for me. Supports multiple monitors well, and mid-range gaming (Borderlands about the highest demand I play). Also like the 12 months to pay with no interest. But Good Friday/Cyber Monday weeks are looming . . . I need something, but can get by if better is coming.

Decisions decisions......
Want to get a gaming rig for my nephew for Christmas. He's only ever played xbox but is getting into warhammer 40k ( i think?) on his laptop. I thought it would make a nice gift. But maybe I should wait for something better? PC gaming is way out of my wheelhouse.

I remember being pretty disappointed with black Friday deals last year, on tech stuff. I seem to remember better deals on the weeks leading up to it. Maybe it was just what I was looking for though.

I bought a similar spec computer last year for a about the same price. It may have been a little cheaper honestly. I've since sold the 4060ti and upgraded that card. It would really be worth trying to find a PC with a 4070 or higher in it. I think this holiday should definitely offer that at this price point. Also don't forget cyber Monday. It was very good last year IMHO.

Yes, I remember, last year's BF/CM was worse than Prime Days. Well, I was all ready to jump on this, but I cannot get the coupon (tried several different emails). Is there a delay on that?

Update: Finally got a code on my son's email. In for one. Thanks and reps.

The Thermaltake at Best Buy from the front page is a better deal. 16GB more ram, 600W PSU, and $50 cheaper, $999 ...
