Sony's sound better but Bose fit more comfortably. I keep the Bose strictly for flights, Sony's for day to day use!

These are slightly better than QC45 but if you already have the 45, I'd say not worth the upgrade.

I returned mine during the last deal. They aren't bad, but the ear cups are narrow and somewhat small. If you have big ears, you're going to find them uncomfortable.

So pretty much no return if you have tried them and don't like them!

Just had a pair of Sony XB901N headphones snap across the plastic retainer at ear cup hinge - it's a design flaw and probably weak injection mold plastic - broke within 10 months of normal use and Sony is denying my warranty claim for defect saying it's "consequential" physical damage.

Am seeking ANY product other than Sony and looking at these Bose - anybody know if their warranty process acts better than what I just described above?

I have the same question. My XM4s and XM5 both broke at the ear hinge within months of purchase. I don't know if I just have a big head or something but I can't do it anymore and would like to know if these are more durable.

XM3 was the peak of noise canceling and the XM4 is still good. XM5 is mostly passive NC and it has weak ANC. I would stay away from the XM5 and use XM4

Bose is still always really good. And I've always thought Bose is slightly more comfortable.
