I've had atleast two of these things and within months they both developed double clicking issues. Maybe they aren't all like that, but I had crappy luck with them. Still using one that hasn't been too bad with this issue yet.

I've been using Logitech mice since the inception of gaming mice and I have never experienced the double-clicking issue. Ever. It's just weird seeing people complain about it in every Logitech thread for every Logitech mouse.

You can fix the double click by opening the mouse and changing the switches (left and right click switches) but it involves soldering. its not hard to do, im no exper solder person and i was able to do it in about 1 hour by just following a few youtube videos online. there are many videos if you google "solder fix logitech switch" ... its a known issue with logitech mice. Alternatively you can maybe pay someone like $20-$40 to solder them in for you like a local electronic shop or someone that solders online. i had double click issues within a year and then swapped out the switches. Ever since swapping them out over 3 years ago i still have no problem with my logitech mouse ever since switching them out. i dont know why logitech doesnt replace the switches themselves with better ones, i guess they want you to buy a new mouse. here is one of many youtube videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bl9mPBhemWo and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPfwK-DSiC8

My anecdotal experience has been overall positive. I have two g305. The longest use of one has been for 4 or 5 years and works without any issues including the double click. I have an iliac color I bought that has been great for 3 years, no issues and another black model I bought for my mom to clean her desk up with wireless peripherals. All three have been flawless. I hear about the double click issue but have never personally experienced it. I thought I'd share since this is my favorite mouse I've used for desktop.

I use my mouse about 12 hours a day, 5 days a week (WFH). I developed double click issue within ~10 months. Submitted RMA , where the verify procedure actually included click test results. Got a free mouse back, 11 months in, no double clicks but I am starting to notice I need to be more forceful in my clicks. It's a great mouse but does seem to have some switch inconsistencies over the years.
