I am not an extended warranty person on many items, except Apple devices. And, I think it's particularly valuable for Airpods, since AppleCare+ covers them if you damage them. Apple repairs aren't cheap, and since most people rely on their Apple devices for everyday use, it's well worth 12% of the purchase prices to insure them against damage. If you think you're more likely to loose them, check with your credit card on how long they cover you for lost or stolen devices.

I actually bought these yesterday at Best Buy for $197, price matched to Amazon.

On chat trying to price match again

Got them for my grandfather since his hearing is getting bad. I really hope they work for him

I am going to see if my SFMRA account will provide a refund since they officially advertise them as having hearing aid functionality. If not I'll return them.

I'm not a big fan of most extended type warranties, but I will say I bought these for $200 at Costco last year and gave them to my girlfriend for a Christmas present. It had the AppleCare plus. Not too long ago she dropped one in a toilet somehow and after that, it just didn't sound very good talking to her on the phone when she used it. So we went in and for $29 plus tax they replaced both AirPods and a charging case with all new stuff.

In that case, it was worth it in my opinion
