it is, i used one and wanted to get it for a little while now. both dewalt and milwaukee released larger routers in the last year and both are great. normal price on these is $350 for both milwaukee and dewalt. right now they are basically giving them away. this battery is easily worth $100, so you're basically getting the router for $150.

What is a Powerpack? Is that the new name given to powerstack batteries under the XR branding now?

Wow, some of the most outrageous Alaska shipping I have seen in a while.

$200 for ground for one router and a battery.

It's the tabless battery. Higher current like Powerstack, but not pouch cells.

powerstack are lipo cell stacked batteries (pouches)

powerpack are new tabless 21700 Cells that have better reliability and higher continuous output. which means more beans.

dewalt gives them different names so you know what you're getting. milwaukee calls everything "forge". both tabless 21700 cells and lipo pouches are all "forge" in the red world

same. i ended up getting two. once you sell the batteries on facebook marketplace, the tools will come out to $150-ish a pop. having 2 in the shop will be awesome because i won't have to change bits 50 times a day.

this is a crazy deal. almost feels like an oversight. no chance black friday beats this

Amazing deal, in for one! Especially since the included battery is the new beefy 8Ah tabless POWERPACK. Couldn't get Home Depot to price match this but maybe someone else here can try and have better luck.

I'm on team red, but this is a nice router. Should I get another battery system?

Half of my tools are red and half are yellow, and I like it that way. Milwaukees plumbing tools and nailers are bette, along with the M12 line, but dewalt has a better woodworking selection. I have no regrets being invested in both.
