There are no closed captions/subtitles for those who rely on them. Not surprising since Mill Creek is the one who put this out.

I had to buy the original Universal DVDs to get the subtitles.

Garner had to quit because he had a bad back and could barely walk by the end. Look at how he runs so awkwardly, especially in the final seasons and eps. It just hurt too much.

Modern audiences will have to adjust to what was an incredibly slow pace. I rewatched from start to finish about 8 years ago and it took some adjustment. Still a great show.

Also. The show just stopped. James Garner got tired of doing it and it just ended. It was too abrupt.

damn 22 discs. You can just download the show digitality and save space and money. No need to change discs. And since Mill creek blu rays don't have any special features or subtitles.

Mill Creek sucks. Like a dummy I bought the bluray set before researching this and immediately donated all 6 seasons of my Rockford Files Universal DVDs to Goodwill.Facepalm
