My dad cut his side/hip pretty badly with a chainsaw back in the day and used duct tape.

FYI: Many (all???) J&J Band-Aid brand bandages are made in China.

Recent studies have raised concerns about the presence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), commonly known as "forever chemicals," in some bandages, including popular brands like Band-Aid and Curad. These substances have been linked to various health concerns, including different types of cancers.

Bandaid brand has gone to shit and I recommend staying away from something you're likely going to throw most of away. Bought some massive package on SD and they either claim to be waterproof but don't stick and leak, are these and fall off after a few hours, or are the fabric ones and rip out every hair and some skin in the area when it's time to take it off.

If you need bandaids, get pretty much anything else. I like Nexcare, especially the waterproof ones. They stay in place for days if needed (change your dressing though) and are actually water tight like they claim.

As someone that got cellulitis and was just a step away from sepsis after getting an exhaust burn while teaching someone to ride a motorcycle because I didn't clean up and bandage my wound effectively, I don't fark around with wound care and bandages anymore.
