I always felt Vizio was the major "no-name" brand that chipped away at the exorbitant prices when LCD's were getting well-established, especially during the final days of $80 Monster HDMI cables.

Just composite though, you had me excited for a second. Haven't seen anything come with component ports in a while.
Oddly if you look under specifications, it says it has component, but the pictures say otherwise.

10 years ago weren't 4K TV $5,000-$8,000? (Not same brand or quality I guess)

Technology sure does move fast.

chip design and mostly made by chinese companies lowered the price significantly.

This forced Sony, lg, and samsung to also lower their overpriced TV's.

TCL is the best thing to happen for the TV market. Quality TV's at crazy good prices.

Yes, the Insignia™ 50" Class F30 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV can be used as a computer monitor. However, there are a few things to keep in mind: 1. Resolution and Clarity: While the TV supports 4K resolution, it may not display text as clearly as a dedicated computer monitor due to its inability to display chroma 4:4:4 signals properly. This means text might appear slightly blurry. 2. Input Lag: The TV is decent for PC gaming but might have some input lag, which could affect fast-paced gaming or tasks requiring quick responses. 3. Connections: Ensure your desktop has an HDMI output, as this TV uses HDMI ports for input. You might need to adjust the display settings on your computer to match the TV's resolution. 4. Size and Viewing Distance: The 50" screen size is quite large for a typical desk setup, so make sure you have enough space and can sit at an appropriate distance to avoid eye strain. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.
