I'll point out that the clearance for the under mattress is not very much. Meaning unless it is a two year old, they aren't going to be able to fully sit up down there... TOTAL height is 46".

Make sure to check height to bottom of the top level and then subtract mattress thickness.....

The clearance is only a little over 2 ft... basically just for the kid's teddy bear, or dog.

Plus, it doesn't look like there's an air gap for the lower mattress. Would that help develop mold in the lower mattress?
