Would you wear these pants to work?

3,246 1,585 November 3, 2024 at 04:56 AM
I work in an government office setting where the only dressing rules is that you have to wear a shirt w/ a collar and no shorts.

I was on vacation eating at a buffet. There was hot melted butter for Crab and I accidentally spilt a whole bunch of it on my right front pant leg (above and below the knee area).

The pants have already been washed at least once so the butter probably won't come out.

My question is, would you wear these pants to work? How about outside running around doing errands? Going to a bar?

Crazy if we've gone back to that archaic tradition.

Are you customer facing? If so, no. If you are stuck in a cubicle/office and don't really interact with anyone? No, you should throw them away because they're ugly. Do manual labor? Rub some dirt/grease on them on a different location and make it look like you do work.

Better question would've been to Google: How to get oil stains out of clothing.

Sorry for slacking off. I just can't think of anything off the cuff. But if I think of something, I'll zip right back here.

You know I like to pun - I just needle little encouragement sometimes. I'm hoping this thread will continue, though I'm sure it's causing some people to yarn and fall asleep.

These are not cheap pants, while stained they are still worth a lot. Not to mention a sentimental value. This thread should continue.

Several topics have not yet been explored, like how to get rid of the stain entirely, or whether should these pants be worn to a restaurant again and to what kind of a restaurant.

Clearly the best option is to dip the pants into a vat of melted butter so they'll be a uniform color once more.
