Why do people insist on posting routine, full-price restocks in Hot Deals? It's not a deal at all, let alone "hot." Very inconsiderate of those with UniFi deal alerts.

Unifi deals have been dead for years unfortunately. I bought in at a pretty good discount, but you arent getting a discount at this point.
Odd thing to say considering UDM Pro and Dream wall went on sale around Black Friday last year.
Was going to say exactly the same thing. In addition to sales exactly like the one you described directly from UI, authorized (or hell, even unauthorized) resellers also have deals from time to time, whether clearing old stock or passing along incentives from UI or whatever. Full price on something simply coming back into stock is not a deal.

Probably because this router has been close to 300 for months on all the other websites (Amazon, eBay) because of resellers.
What would you recommend? I am trying to build a rack. I am not sure what to get.
Around 6-8 years ago ubiquiti was audited, and there were many security issues found. The audit was posted if you want to read. I haven't trusted them since then. I use thier APs but if I were in the market now TP link omada would be my go to, cheaper sdn with similar performance. I would not use thier routing.
I personally use pfsense but there are forks that are good too. Untangled is something else I'd consider but it costs per year.

Build yourself a pfsense box. I went the extra mile to buy a fan less computer, but not required. I just wanted to save the power money over time. I don't think you need to get a negate device though.

If you have a faster internet connection (>500mbps down), I wouldn't recommend this as it will bottleneck. (They state up to 700mbps). Grab the UDM Pro (or better) and an AP if you need more.
