This reminds me of last year. I signed up the meat grinding class (KitchenAid mixer) for me and my husband. Went to the class and the lady was clueless about how to use it and was complaining about "they just asked us to do this but didn't tell us how to do it!"
They didn't thaw the meat so it got suck, she was using a knife to try to push the meat down. We just left lol. Canceled the other ice cream making class I had signed up for the next week.

OMG, they are awful! I paid for a pizza making class and we were supposed to get an Emile Henry pizza stone with it. There were limited spots and I had purchased mine about a month before at a WS location way across town. Kept getting auto-reminders via email, etc. All communication was done via email, in fact, including up until less than 24 hours before the class. Morning of the Saturday class, I drive across town, probably cost about 7 dollars in tolls, and arrived for the class. No one is there. A manager finally arrives and asks what I am doing outside the store and I say that I am here for the pizza making class. He tells me that "oh, the time of the class was wrong, I should have gotten a phone call from someone the afternoon before telling me that it was at one." It turned out the time had ALWAYS been wrong. They sold me a class that did not exist. Williams Sonoma in no way apologized(how hard is it to say sorry, whoops?) and then gave me attitude when I simply asked for a refund because I drove all the way out there(ugh, suburbs), paid tolls, have to pay tolls to get home, and really do not see myself doing the trip again in 5 hours since I already wasted 2 hours of my morning. I was not rude about it, I just stated the facts. I contacted WS customer service and they were just as nonchalant about it. They did not see any problem with the fact that they sold a class that never existed and wasted hours of someone's morning. it would have been more fun to sleep in on my Saturday and eat breakfast in my pjs. I was just flabbergasted.

That's awful, I would have done a chargeback. I did the pizza class some time ago and it was really good! I guess it depends on the store.

So for what it's worth, the lady coming for us knew what she was doing, BUT...
The advertised 30 mins was 2 hours (figured it would be an hour at most), the email they send has almost no detail to include the store location/address, and the listing was gone around 30-60mins before starting so when I went to the wrong place at first I had a hard time tracking down the address.
This is not really interactive at all, nothing hands on at least, you can ask all you want of the cook and she was informed of everything she was doing.
There were FOUR seats and this was really just a big advertisement for their dishes, utensils, ingredients, etc.

You do get to taste stuff, but not enough for anything but a small snack. Don't go hungry, you'll starve waiting for stuff to be done.
Next week looks like a dessert class for anyone still reading but I don't think I'll be sitting through it again. I think you can see it through this same link...

EDIT: search for a store and you can see the events... https://www.williams-sonoma.com/stores/
