Note that signing up for Play Pass does not guarantee that all accounts will be eligible for the ability to upgrade to Gold right away and/or the 30% off discount, however; so attempt this at your own discretion.

I am a iPhone 15 pro max user and have been debating going back to android for awhile now. I even considered just getting the 9 pro as a second tinkering device as I'm not sure I want to ditch my iPhone. I have a dusty pixel 4xl to trade in.
Very torn. It'd be like $500ish dollars which is such a good deal for a 9 pro but not sure I can commit switching back lol

Spending the $15 saved me around $400.
- From the Play app on your Google phone, purchase Google Play Pass for a month. This is 5 bucks a month.
- Cleared cache and deleted data for the play store app. This forces it to pull the offer from the server. Wasn't able to get the offer to load without this.
- Open google play app and on the home page look for an upgrade to gold option to redeem. You are now Gold status.
- I signed up for a 10 bucks 2TB plan to get 10% cash back also. (Will downgrade back down after trade-in is accepted.)
- Re-open the Google Play app, tap on your profile picture in the top right, tap Play Points section, and tap on the Perks tab. There, you can claim your discount code that will be applied at checkout for any of the Pixel 9 models, except for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. I made the purchase from my phone app itself.
